Amy Sudarsky has been a teacher at The Art Institute of Boston for 26 years. A figurative painter, Amy has exhibited in New York, San Francisco and in the New England area. "As an art student, I was inspired by Classical Greek sculpture and Renaissance painting. Later, I fell in love with Primitivism, as in the works of Gaugin and the pre-cubist paintings of Picasso." She is known for her riveting slide lectures on museum collections as well as her popular courses in figure drawing and painting. Drawing from the figure or painting outdoor sculpture and landscapes "on site" with Amy will personalize your visual knowledge of the cultures you are exploring.
